Q. When I do a burnout in my vehicle it will only spin one wheel and the car has a limited slip diff. What is wrong?

There could be a few things wrong including:

  • LSD is worn out or broken
  • Broken axle
  • Might not be an LSD diff

Q. When driving, my vehicle is noisy in all other gears except 4th - what could it be?

. The most common cause is bearing failure.

Q. When I change from 1st gear into 2nd gear there is a loud grating type sound before it goes into gear. What is it?

This sound effect is caused by a faulty or worn out synchro ring clutch hub fault

Q. When I select reverse it makes a loud grinding type noise and won't go into gear. What's the problem?

. The clutch could need re-adjusting because of excessive free play, or it is worn out.

Q. When driving my vehicle, it makes a constant noise, but when I back off and on the throttle the noise changes. Any ideas?

Your differential will create this noise change. A worn out bearing or bearings on the crown wheel, and passed its used by date.
