a limited slip diff. What is wrong?
Q. When driving, my vehicle is noisy in all other gears except 4th - what could it be?
A. The most common cause is bearing failure.
Q. When I change from 1st gear into 2nd gear there is a loud grating type sound before it goes into gear. What is it?
A. This sound effect is caused by a faulty or worn out synchro ring clutch hub fault
Q. When I select reverse it makes a loud grinding type noise and won't go into gear. What's the problem?
A. The clutch could need re-adjusting because of excessive free play, or it is worn out.
Q. When driving my vehicle, it makes a constant noise, but when I back off and on the throttle the noise changes. Any ideas?
